The AxelGamer Games section is open and I am keen

16 July 2026

A kid friendly AxelGamer look at the new Games section, with Snake, Banana Battle, Perfect Landing, and why it is exciting to see what gets added next.

The AxelGamer site has a new Games section now, and I reckon that is pretty awesome. Usually when I open the site I am thinking about videos or articles, but now there is a spot where you can actually play games as well. It makes the whole site feel more like a proper hangout place, because you can watch something, read something, then jump into a quick game without needing to go hunting around somewhere else.

I checked the Games section before writing this, because I did not want to just guess what was there. At the moment there are three games showing on the home page. They are Snake, Banana Battle, and Perfect Landing. They all have their own buttons, and they all feel like the sort of games you can try for a few minutes, then accidentally keep playing because you want one better score or one cleaner go.

The first one is Snake. I like that Snake is simple in a good way. You guide the snake to the food, the snake gets longer, and then your own snake becomes the problem. The card says it is an arcade game with keyboard controls and no wall wrap, so you have to watch the edges instead of teleporting through them. That makes it feel a bit more serious, because smashing into the wall is not just a silly mistake you can ignore. You need to plan where your snake is going before the board gets crowded.

Snake is also a good first game for the section because nearly everyone understands it quickly. You do not need a massive tutorial or a whole booklet of controls. You just move, collect food, and try not to crash. That makes it great for kids, parents, and anyone who wants a quick challenge. It is the kind of game where the rules are easy, but getting a really good score still feels tricky.

The second game is Banana Battle. This one sounds heaps sillier, which is exactly why I like seeing it on the site. The card says you aim, set power, and throw bananas across a retro city skyline. That already sounds like the kind of game where one throw can be amazing and the next one can be completely cooked. It is listed as an arcade game with mobile controls and a canvas demo, so it looks like it is made to be easy to try on different screens.

Banana Battle feels different from Snake because it is more about judging a shot. You are not just reacting quickly. You are thinking about angle and power, then watching the banana fly and hoping it lands properly. Games like that are funny because even when you miss, the miss can still be entertaining. If the banana goes way too high or drops short, you can laugh, adjust it, and have another go.

The third game is Perfect Landing. This one has a plane theme, and the card says you pitch through a dead engine glide, dodge the skyline, and land softly on the runway. That sounds tense in a cool way. It is also marked as an arcade game with mobile controls, and the extra label says engine out. So it is not just flying around doing nothing. You are trying to handle a tricky landing and make it smooth.

Perfect Landing sounds like the most dramatic one of the three to me. A soft landing feels like the kind of thing that would be super satisfying when you finally get it right. I like games where you can mess up fast, restart, and instantly know what you want to do better next time. If you come in too steep or hit the skyline, you can try again and aim for a calmer glide.

What I like most about the Games section is that the three games do not all feel the same. Snake is about staying alive while the board gets more crowded. Banana Battle is about aiming and power. Perfect Landing is about controlling a glide and touching down safely. That is a nice mix for a new section because it gives people different moods to pick from. Sometimes you want a classic score chase. Sometimes you want silly banana physics. Sometimes you want a plane landing challenge.

I am also excited because the section already feels like it can grow. Having three games so far makes it feel started, not finished forever. The best bit is knowing more games are meant to come later, because that makes me really curious. I do not know what every future game will be, so I am not going to pretend there are hidden features or huge updates that are not there. But I can say that it would be awesome to see the play zone keep filling up with more quick, family friendly games.

It also fits AxelGamer really well. The site is already about fun games, silly moments, and kid friendly chaos, so adding games you can play makes sense. It gives visitors something to do, not just something to look at. If someone comes to watch a video, they might stay for Snake. If someone reads an article, they might try Perfect Landing after. If someone just wants something funny, Banana Battle is sitting there ready.

So yep, the Games section is open, and I am keen to see where it goes next. For now, Snake, Banana Battle, and Perfect Landing make a fun little starting lineup. They are simple to understand, different from each other, and easy to jump into. That is exactly what a good play zone needs. I will definitely be checking back, because when more games arrive, I want to see what gets added next.
