Minecraft Chaos Cubed Guide

Chaos Cubed arrived in Minecraft Java 26.2 and Bedrock 26.30 on 16 June 2026. Its big idea is simple: find a Sulfur Cube, give it different blocks, then see how its movement changes. The drop also adds sulfur caves, Cinnabar and sulfur building sets, Potent Sulfur, springs, geysers and the Bounce music disc.

This hub brings our Chaos Cubed guides into one beginner-friendly trail. Start with the question you are trying to solve, or follow the suggested order below.

Start exploring

  1. How to find sulfur caves — use sulfur springs on the surface as your best clue.
  2. How to find a Sulfur Cube — search safely inside the new underground biome.
  3. What Sulfur Cubes eat — learn how block groups alter speed, bounce and friction.
  4. How to put a Sulfur Cube in a bucket — take a large cube home without chasing it.

A family-friendly way to test Chaos Cubed

Make a fenced test lane away from houses, pets and valuable storage. Put one cube in the lane, change only one block at a time, and write down what happens. Use a non-explosive block first; save TNT for a copied world or an empty area with an adult supervising younger players.

How these guides were checked

The mechanics in this cluster were checked against Mojang’s final Java Edition 26.2 release notes and Bedrock 26.30 changelog, rather than relying on older snapshot details. Minecraft can change after release, so check that your game is at least on those versions if something behaves differently.
